The gutter has a cross-section which is a semicircle with diameter 20cm
How many liters of water can the gutter hold?
Find the volume of a cylinder = (area of cross section × height)
Make sure all your units are the same (convert 10m into cm).
volume of a cylinder = π x (10^2) x 1000 = 314,000 cubic cm
Bear in mind you don't have a whole cylinder here.
so
314,000 cubic cm x 0.5 = 157,000 cubic cm
Then remember 1 cubic cm =1 ml
so 157,000 cubic cm = 157,000 ml
