Singular and Plural

Since countable nouns can be counted, they can be 

singular

 (=one) and 

plural

 (=two or

You probably remember that plural forms of nouns usually have the ‘-s‘ (‘-es‘) ending. For
example:

There is an egg.
There are four eggs.
